The Punter's Knowledge Base includes over 100 items of educational material (PDF and audio articles) across a range of racing and punting topics such as form analysis, selection & betting strategies, staking & money management, psychology and key concepts for punting success.
If using Betsmart as a standalone betting tool, our recommendation is to back horses marked with "Most Appeal" in races of Average or Good clarity. There is an average of 8-9 across Sydney & Melbourne each Saturday (total). If using Betsmart in conjunction with your own form analysis, our speed maps, rated prices, comments and runner profiles will save you time and help guide you towards your most profitable betting decisions.
The Betsmart Service covers Saturday metropolitan meetings in Sydney & Melbourne, other Group & Listed races in NSW / VIC, Group 1 races in other States, and Flemington meetings during the Melbourne Cup Carnival. That's over 1,000 races per year!
We are more than happy to provide past sample files and results for the betting strategies we track using the Betsmart service. Get in touch with us via the Contact page we will email you the relevant files.
Our early edition of Saturday race assessments are emailed to members at 3pm on Friday. We then update them for scratchings on Saturday morning, with the final edition emailed to members at 9am. Our assessments for Group & Listed races on other days are sent at 9am on race morning.
This is a question we often receive, especially from existing members. Betsmart started in 2016 as an education service with a few betting tips each Saturday. Our primary motivation was to improve the quality of betting education across the racing industry and offer it at a price that was affordable to the average punter. For that reason we set the price at $29 per month. While the race analysis side of the service has greatly expanded and justifies a much higher price, we are happy with the current model helping a larger number of punters at a lower price, rather than a smaller number at a higher price. We made a decision to always keep the service affordable to the average punter.
Our Race Assessments, Track Reports, Meeting Reviews and Black Book Runners content is provided in PDF (requires Adobe Acrobat.) Educational material found in the Punter's Knowledge Base is either PDF, audio or video format.

Learn how to think, analyse & bet like a winning punter!
SUCCESS OUR FIVE KEY FACTORS FOR WINNING
A Complete Approach
Punting success is about much more than your selection method. It requires a complete approach to be effective in all of the key areas that influence winning such as your decision making skills, money management, betting psychology and more.
Clarity
You must be clear on how you plan to succeed at betting. A lack of clarity leads to impulsive decision making, which will ultimately result in failure. Approach your work with purpose by understanding the type of horses you want to back, how to find them and then how to back them in the market.
Consistency
Be consistent in the way that you approach your analysis, make decisions and stake your bets. Don't let emotions or short term results dictate the next decision.
Confidence
Believe in your approach and make clear decisions based on what you know at the time. Accept that losing runs are a part of the game, but be confident that by consistently making good decisions, the results will eventually take care of themselves.
Continuous Improvement
You must constantly striving to learn more, develop new edges over the market and generally improve all areas of your game. Failure to keep moving forward as a punter will eventually see you get left behind.
